NEW ENGLAND PATRIOT, MICHAEL HOOMANAWANUI,
BECOMES AN AMBASSADOR FOR RIVIERA PADDLESURF

SAN CLEMENTE, California, June 4, 2013 – Rivera
Paddlesurf would like to welcome versatile New England Patriots Tight End Michael
Hoomanawanui as an ambassador for Team Riviera. Mike, who is known as
‘HOOMAN’ to his teammates, added SUP to his workout routine after he was
drafted into the NFL in 2010.
“I’m glad to be a part of the
Riviera Family since they are always releasing the highest quality, premiere
boards allowing me to continue building my core and train in a unique way for
the upcoming season.”
He has utilized lakes, rivers,
and oceans ranging from Hawaii to Arizona to St. Louis to Boston to make the
best of his SUP experiences.
Currently, he rides the Riviera 11’6” SUP during his offseason
training.
“I want to help make SUP known
to the general public and that it’s not just limited to surfers. I introduced it to some of my teammates
since it is not like a typical weight room workout and it is a release from the
everyday routine.”
Hoomanawanui is originally from
Illinois, but has Hawaiian roots.
He visits the Islands multiple times per year to provide a positive
influence to his extended family and locals. In addition to SUP, he enjoys playing the drums and ukulele
to the beats of his favorite Reggae music. Follow all of his updates and latest news on Twitter and Facebook.
